Not the off the top of my head, but if I hear of something, I'll let you know.

Do you know of any good sites to find writing contests? I like to keep an eye on, but the hubz and I would both love to find more.

What's sad is that some people already get paid to do that job and don't seem to be very good at it!

It always gets under my skin when I see glaring mistakes on a site. Kudos to you for telling them, even if they weren't cool enough to take the free editing. Why wouldn't you want your site to be the best that it could be, especially if the help is free. Thumbs down to them!

I've actually thought about emailing sites where I saw mistakes and asking them to pay me to proof their content. I like editing and bucks. Seems like a great job to me!

I made a significant purchase from a company last year and became a pretty big fan of its products.  I got to know the owner (small, growing company) and received notable discounts for writing some reviews.  Anyway, being the nerd that I am, after spending so much time on this company's website, I decided to take some initiative and e-mail my contact some "notes" - mistakes I found on their website.  All I got was a "thanks for your suggestions"; a few days passed and I checked to see if any of my edits were incorporated.  It's been nearly a year and the "mistakes" are still there.  And yes, it still bothers me.
