Star Wars: The Old Republic is in Beta Testing Phase

MMORPG, Star Wars: The Old Republic, is going to beta and they've already had over 1.5 million saber-hungry gamers sign up for a chance to be a part of the testing. That to me is amazing. Decades…Continue

OMG, Leisure Suit Larry, now you're speaking my childhood.  We always played PC games- Space Quest, King's Quest, etc.

I can't believe Leisure Suit Larry is a part of your history, too. I can still picture the terrible graphics...and STD's. Too funny!

I remember my first gaming like it was yesterday...playing Space Invaders, Pacman, Frogger, and Donkey Kong on the Atari system. Then it was Super Mario and Legends of Zelda on the original Nintendo. Then it was Leisure Suit Larry on the PC when my parents weren't looking (yeah back then it was and eventually other puzzle solving mystery pc games which led to Sims. Then Sims on the Playtation. Now I prefer playing hack n slash, RPG, and fighting games like Tekken (which btw I kicked hubby's ass in a couple of games this weekend while we were childless) & Mortal Kombat. I haven't quite gotten into the military style games which of course disappoints my 10 year old son but he LOVES playing the other kinds of games with me & hubby.

What game made you a video game lover? Did it happen when you were young or were you older when you got a taste for it?

Yeah, there's a serious creep factor there. I've never played any of the games, so I had clean eyes watching the film. I thought it was good, but Brock, who'd played the games, had a lot to say about it.

I personally feel that Silent Hill the movie was better watched the second time. The second watch through you caught things that you didn't get the first time. It was a good movie, but personally the original story is way better. In the first game you don't know if the father, in this case, is dreaming this because he had a concushion or did drugs or because of both. Plus the mother trying to burn her child alive because that child didn't want to birth the Antichrist is far more creepy.

DH just bought me Heavenly Swords today. Supposed to be similar to God of War. Anyone play it? Can't wait to try it.

Yippee! Got Sims 3 for Christmas (still awaiting my other games on my list and other gadgets...ahem...knock to head and SHOVE of DH). Still need to sit down and play it ALONE (without kiddie interruptions) so I can get used to it.
